What is the difference between shimmer, opaque, and translucent colors?

Suncatcher Craft Eyes come in 3 types of colors, each with their own qualities that I will explain below.

Translucent colors have an almost see-through quality.  These colors are what gave Suncatcher Craft Eyes their name, as the colors remind me of looking at suncatchers in a sunny window. 

Light will shine through these eyes.

Opaque colors are just ordinary colors.  These are the eyes to use if you want pure vibrant color.

Shimmer colors do just that:  They shimmer.  Light shines off tiny particles in the eyes, creating layers of light and color.  Photos do not do these colors justice.
